WHO PAYS US?

Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union, a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness. Horizon 2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding over 7 years. It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. GREENPEG receives a donation of 8.3 million Euro allocated among the 13 Project Partners from 5 EU member states, the UK and Norway.

When in 1511 the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I minted the “Kaiserguldiner”, the first medal with the word “Europe”, he was laying claim to a domain that united most of today’s EU countries. Today, 27 democracies share their fate in the EU. Joint research and a budget where the stronger support the weaker is the new agenda that rules our continent.
